I bought my truck in September of 2020. Since Ive owned the truck as well as 2 other vehicles and i had recommended a family member go to CopperCliff Garage. Eric's customer service, attention to detail and skills and knowledge under the hood were his top game. I always felt treated well and fairly charged for services, until 2022. In 2022 some the customer service started to decline, however seemed to be fair in costs and somewhat fair timelines to have work done on vehicle. One thing i noticed was that with oil changes the milage marked on reminder was not consistent for next oil change. Last fall was the biggest difference 10000 km ... this was the longest milage recorded ever between oil changes. Then 2023 started. I contacted and spoke with Eric to have an tire switch, a light that had returned on dash, and the possibility of warranty still being available for that light that was just changed with in the yr. Eric said his soonest opening for an appointment was in 2 weeks. I explained my work schedule to him only leaving me a few hrs in a day from late morning to early afternoon. He advised he would need the truck first think in the morning in order to accomodate me picking up by afternoon. I said no problem i will drop off night before. 2 weeks later, waiting for a call but nothing. Around 12 oclock I call because i only have until 1 pm that i can come in to pay for and pick up truck on a friday. 1st. Eric is not available. 2nd the woman had no idea what i was talking about. 3. She stated that she had two other women as walk ins that morning. When i said i had an appointment made 2 weeks ago, she just said she didnt know what to tell me. I finally was able to speak with Eric that afternoon. Who had said he had a family emergency about a forgotten appointment. I said i explained to you my availability for to pay for and pick up truck. He said does not make appointments and how is he supposed to remember every conversatiom with every customer especially from two weeks ago? He advised it was not the same part that may have been under warranty, that he had scanned the truck and shut off check engine light. But it would most likely come back on as the truck would require a smoke test. Not being able to go pick it up before closing i provided him with a credit card over the phone and asked he keep spare key if it could not be locked in truck with bill. When i picked up truck that evening. The check engine light was still on. I finally had the chance the end of the following week to stop amd pick up keys and bill. He was very rude on phone. And when i got to shop i was asking another mechanic when he had time if he could price something out for me that Eric had recommended and Eric came flying into office stating he has other things to have done that day to call another time for my questions. I was so taken back i just responded 'take care Eric' and walked out. Only to discover you CAN lock keys in vehicle. I was charged 40.00 to shut off a light that was never shut off. Which has been shut off and stayed off at another garage since. And sometimes appointments do matter there, depending on the customer. I hope you can find your customer service and work ethics again soon Eric! I nor my family will be bringing a vehicle there again. And i no longer recommend this garage.

Overall I felt that I was neglected, left uninformed and treated as not a priority. The work that was supposed to be done was not done properly or thoroughly, and I never received accurate communication regarding the repairs inventory, the time it would take, or even the calls back at the times they said they would. I had to pressure them for my vehicle back more than seven days after the original time they told me it would be finished, just to receive an incomplete job. I regret taking my car there. I had called ahead of time to let them know the drivers side window would need replacing after a break in, and the vehicle needed to be inspected for repairs after being in storage. They ordered the window ahead of time so that it was ready for replacement the day I brought it in. The day I brought it in (Thursday) I realized the catalytic converter had been stolen and was able to tell them that would need to be replaced as well. They told me they would call me later to let me know when the car was done. Around 6:00pm I called to ask if the car was ready. They said it would be ready between 7:30-8:00 before they closed and they would call me. Around 7:45 I called back and they were closed, without calling me to tell me they would be keeping the vehicle overnight. I walked home that night. The next day I called and they said they would be calling me with a list of repairs to check with me, that afternoon. They called and left a message for me with the price of the repairs. When I called back at 4:30 they were closed for the weekend. On Monday morning I called them back and was told I’d get a call back by 1:00 that afternoon to give a breakdown of the repairs. At 2:00, I still hadn’t received a call so I called them again, and they still couldn’t give me a breakdown of the repairs but gave me a verbal ballpark of the price again which I gave the okay for. They said the car would be ready by Wednesday or Thursday now and they would call me when it was done. No call on Wednesday. No call on Thursday. On Friday morning I called them to say that I needed the car done because I was moving on Saturday. They said I could pick it up by 2:00. When I got there the car was done, but they told me the tires were cracked and needed replacing. I hadn’t been told this ahead of time so I had no time to get the tires replaced before my move, but definitely would have if I’d been told this in the previous eight days they had the car. When I took the car home, the window they’d replaced wouldn’t go down. I called and left a voicemail message on their phone letting them know about the issue and asked them to call me. They never did.
