Recent visit by a tech to get my furnace going: time spent by tech = 15 minutes billed for = 1 1/2 hours batteries used to swap out in thermostat were mine but I was billed $7. Gas surcharge also. A 15 minute charge cost $247. Actual problem: furnace door wasn't securely closed, not a battery issue. Now owned by FirePLace King...beware.
